Do I Have a Salesian Vocation?

Do you love God? Do you see yourself working with, for, and among children and young people of all ages, especially the poor and at risk? Can you see yourself living in community with other women dedicated to the same purpose (Heaven) and mission (young people)? Then you might have a vocation to the Salesian life!
 
 
As a young woman, there are three possible vocations as a Salesian. The requirements are:
 

Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco – Consecrated & Vowed Religious

  • 18-30 years old
  • active practicing Catholic
  • good physical, mental, emotional health
  • single, never married, no children
  • at least a high school degree and open to further studies
  • desire to serve poor and at-risk young people
 

Don Bosco Volunteers – Secular Institute with Pontifical Rights

  • 21-40 years old
  • practicing Catholic
  • single
  • never professed vows within other Institutes of consecrated life
  • good health, psychological and emotional maturity
  • dedicated to the renewal of culture, serving all people, especially the young and the poor
  • financial independence; self-supporting
 
Association of Salesian Cooperators - Lay Association of the Faithful
 
  • At least 18 years old
  • practicing Catholic
  • dedicated to living the Gospel
  • Embodying the Salesian charism within their daily lives in service to young people
