Our Prayer Life

Our prayer life as Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco is a key part of our spiritual and communal life. Each day, we gather for structured moments of prayer, including meditation, the celebration of the Eucharist, the Liturgy of the Hours, and the recitation of the Rosary. We also make time for daily spiritual reading, Visits to the Blessed Sacrament, and weekly Adoration. These practices help us build a deep and personal relationship with Christ. They not only sanctify us individually but also unify us as a community in our shared mission and spirituality.

We draw inspiration from St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello, who taught us to stay attuned to God's presence as contemplatives in action. Our prayer life is simple but sincere, filled with confidence in God's love. Short prayers and quick visits to the chapel during the day keep us connected to the Lord and our Blessed Mother, guiding our ministry. We see our service to the young as an extension of our communion with God. By practicing the "prayer of the good Christian," as St. John Bosco called it, we maintain an inner dialogue with God throughout the day. This continuous prayerful mindset keeps us spiritually grounded and energized for our work, embodying our motto, "Da mihi animas, caetera tolle" (Give me souls, take away the rest).
