The Mornese Project

What is the Mornese Project?

Mornese is the town where St. Mary Mazzarello grew up and discovered her call to follow God. In the atmosphere of her family, friends, and faith community she gradually realized God’s call to dedicate herself fully to Him. It was unveiled gradually, step by step, and it demanded of her a lot of courage to advance little by little. Her “yes”, echoing that of Our Lady, eventually revealed the feminine expression of the Salesian charism, which became the Salesian Sisters.

The Mornese Project is a four phase journey: Experience, Call, Mission, and Pilgrimage. It follows the spirituality and life of Mother Mazzarello as a means of discerning God’s will in our lives.
