Can you see yourself living in community with other women dedicated to the same purpose (Heaven) and mission (young people)? Then you might have a vocation to the Salesian life!
As a young woman, there are two possible vocations as a Salesian. The requirements are:
Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco – Consecrated & Vowed Religious
- 18-30 years old
- active practicing Catholic
- good physical, mental, emotional health
- single, never married, no children
- at least a high school degree and open to further studies
- desire to serve poor and at-risk young people
Don Bosco Volunteers – Secular Institute with Pontifical Rights
- 21-40 years old
- practicing Catholic
- single
- never professed vows within other Institutes of consecrated life
- good health, psychological and emotional maturity
- dedicated to the renewal of culture, serving all people, especially the young and the poor
- financial independence; self-supporting
